Moving to HD Street

A long while ago Ken Fejer started a project called ISOCITY. At it’s core, isocity is a portfolio listing presented in a creative way. Each listing is presented as a house on a street block where users visit portfolios by clicking on the houses. Each house is created by the artist who’s portfolio it represents.

Anyway, that sounds much more complicated than it really is… but now there is HD street which is the same thing only allowing non-pixel submissions. Mine was just posted.

I’ve liked being a part of CG Society. I’ve not been super involved with the facebook sprawl of the past few years, but I do have an account. I don’t have a myspace account, and never did… and I don’t tweet [yet ]. I did sign up for LinkedIn after a fellow creative suggested it, and am pretty happy with that. I joined DeviantArt after years of resistance. It’s been fun, but I am starting to get bored with it.

I’ve just been turned on to a new Social Network - CGHUB.COM, which claims to be the social network for the entertainment industry.

So far it doesn’t look like anything different than the others. It has a decent forum, a lot of artist participation and a strong gallery of top work… but it doesn’t really offer anything that you can’t get through CG Society, or DeviantArt, or LinkedIn, or a combination of those. It does currently offer Free Job posting while in BETA - which could be nice if you are actively hiring. Maybe it is enough of an attraction for its members to find all of that function in one site? Maybe not…Regardless, you can now find me at the CGHUB at http://raitheoshow.cghub.com/

Come on in, the water is lukewarm.

The Rise of Hex at Pop Culture Hound

I was just interviewed by the folks at Pop Culture Hound about the development of Ben 10: The Rise of Hex.

I love it when things I enjoy are released as games … especially when they’re good. So you can imagine my excitement when Ben 10 Alien Force: The Rise Of Hex popped up as a new download on Xbox Live Arcade. I’ve been playing the game quite a lot lately (much to my wife’s dismay), so I thought it would be good idea to talk with Black Lantern Studios’ Matt Raithel (the Director and Game Designer behind Ben 10 Alien Force: The Rise of Hex) to find out a little bit more about the game’s origins and what challenges they experienced along the way. I’ll be reviewing the game shortly, but if you haven’t played it yet then I highly recommend it. Chris J. Thompson

Add entry in the “Body” field body=Your message here
Separate parameters with &.

Example
